Current news and information about EntifyMedia
Updated 19th February 2023
EntifyMedia is no longer a business. Moving locations and COVID-19 has meant despite my best efforts I could no longer keep the company running. I am now seeking new employment either in the industry as a freelancer or going on a completely new career path. Although saddened I look forward to a new career change and a fresh start. The website will be updated in due course to reflect this and will become a personal portfolio.
Regards, James Williams.

To ensure the safety of crew and clients, crew members have taken online training and have received qualifications from ScreenSkills the industry-led skills body for the UK’s screen-based creative industries. We are also ensuring the correct protocol documents, posters & signs will be distributed and that there is an online briefing before every shoot to ensure correct procedures are followed. This is supplemented with every crew member completing the IOSH Creative Industries Safety Passport Course in association with the BETCU.

As lockdown restrictions start to ease, many businesses will be having to find new ways of engaging their customers and ensuring both staff and customers are safe. Video is a quick and effective way of letting people know how you are protecting them.
EntifyMedia’s procedures now include:
- Employees will wear masks and carry alcohol hand gel to avoid the spread of infection following government guidelines
- All equipment will be cleaned before and after any shoot with alcohol wipes
- We will continue with a risk assessment before any shoot and will continue to ensure the safety of the clients, public and employees of the company.
- Distancing will be strictly followed and procedures to ensure minimum contact such as having the client such as using wireless lapel microphones and using telephoto lenses to keep distance to a maximum.
- If the client is in a vulnerable group, then either remote filming or self-filming techniques can be applied to ensure safety.
In the past we have edited a self-shot film for a client (click here) due to their limited budget had to shoot themselves, we then edited the video and added the necessary visual effects to the client’s specification. If such a service is required, we now provide a digital guide on best practices when shooting video and potentially provide some equipment to get better results.
One of our popular packages is having a selection of videos filmed in a single day so that the client has a variety of short videos for social media that can post periodically. We can also use old footage and stock footage to reduce costs if necessary.

Updated 2nd April 2020
We are all facing new challenges in communicating effectively with staff, clients and customers. But now, more than ever, is the time for leadership – to show those who may be uncertain or struggling that we have solutions that they need.
For these reasons, EntifyMedia is investing in new technology to help you through this critical period. This will provide live multi-cam streaming services with advanced features including green screen, live overlays and picture-in-picture technology.
This will allow us to set up a small temporary studio in your premises from which you can stream your message to staff or clients via the internet. Features available include:
- Live switching between presenters and presentations or demonstrations
- Ability to make live annotation on-screen so you can explain a point
- On screen overlays/banners to emphasise your message
- A presenter always in an on-screen window to keep viewer attention
- A live on-screen chat window for clients or staff when they ask questions.
- A recording of the session for those who cannot watch live, or for editing.
- Professional quality video, lighting and sound that will do you credit.
For extra protection we are exploring the idea of providing a “socially-distanced” service. We would provide an online tutorial in the use of the equipment, which we would set up and clean for you. During the broadcast and recording we could be in an adjacent room to monitor and advise. This could be done on your premises or in a rented room.
We will be following government guidelines and let you know on this page how this has progressed.
Once we have the live streaming service fully up and running, we hope to be able to offer spare capacity to local charities free of charge. So, if you know a charity that could benefit from this, or some filming in general, please let us know via our contact page. In these challenging circumstances we would like to help, even it involves using a long lens and a wireless microphone in a big field!
For the time being, Stay Safe, Stay Inside.
